In New Zealand the Medsafe approved brands include Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, and a newer ready to use option called Relfydess is also now in use. As a rough national guide, a single unit of Botox is often around $15, while Dysport is usually in the range of $5 to $8 per unit because more Dysport units are needed to achieve the same effect. A frown line treatment might use in the region of 8 units of Botox or about 20 units of Dysport, so a low per unit price does not automatically mean a lower total.

Per area or per package pricing charges a set price for treating a specific zone, such as frown lines or crow's feet. This tends to be easier to understand at a glance because you know the total before you sit down.
